Privacy Policy
Effective October 31, 2026
In short: Geim collects no personal information. Everything it saves stays on your device, and the app has no internet access, so nothing is ever sent to us or anyone else.
This policy explains how the Geim app ("Geim", "the app", "we") handles information. It applies to the Geim app for Android and, when available, iOS. shaunniekins is responsible for the app.
Information Geim uses
To show your library, Geim reads the following from your device. It is used only inside the app, on your device.
| Information | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| The list of apps you can launch (name, icon, package name, install date, and whether the app is marked as a game) | To find your games, display them, sort by install date, and open them when you tap | Read fresh from your device each time. Not stored or sent anywhere. |
| Your favorites, hidden games and apps you added by hand | To keep your library the way you set it up | Saved in the app's private storage on your device |
| When you last opened each game from Geim | For "Recently played" sorting and the "Played 2 h ago" labels | Saved in the app's private storage on your device |
| Your display choices (view, sort, filter) | So the app opens the way you left it | Saved in the app's private storage on your device |
What Geim does not do
- It does not collect, sell, rent or share personal information.
- It does not require an account or sign-in.
- It does not show ads or include advertising, analytics or tracking software.
- It does not request internet access, so it cannot send data over the network.
- It does not access your contacts, photos, location, camera, microphone or messages.
- It does not see what you do inside other apps or games. It only records when you open a game from Geim.
Permissions
On Android, Geim declares that it needs to see apps that can be opened from the launcher. Android 11 and later require this before an app can list other apps. Geim does not use the broader "query all packages" permission.
Keeping and deleting your information
Your settings stay on your device until you remove them. To delete everything Geim saved, uninstall the app or clear its storage in your device settings. Because we never receive your information, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
Geim is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Third parties
Geim includes no third-party services that collect data. When you open a game from Geim, that game's own privacy policy applies to what happens inside it. Google Play and the App Store, which deliver the app, have their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and publish the new version on this page. If a change ever means Geim handles information differently, we will say so in the app's release notes.
